Experimental Aircraft Association Chapter 968 is
the local arm of the International E.A.A. Organization devoted to
promoting sport aviation including antique and classic aircraft,
home-built and kit aircraft, 'warbirds' , and cutting edge
new-technology aircraft development. Chapter 968 members own classic
and antique airplanes, several members are constructing planes from
kits and from scratch. The Chapter also sponsors and participates in
Rutland and area aviation events including twice yearly fly-in
breakfasts, FAA Safety Seminars, building and maintaining the Lisa Fall
Memorial Fly-In Camp-Site and various local and State transportation
groups.
Members have access to the newly refurbished club room/pilot lounge
including use of the aviation 'library' of instructional and
educational videos and text material. The Chapter holds a business
meeting on the first Tuesday of each month and schedules project visits
and fly-outs, usually on the first Saturday of the month. The schedule
is posted on the web-site <greenmountainflyers.org> and through
periodic e-mail and newsletter updates.
